How to use the Field Usage function

Administrators and advanced users who need to see where fields are used in field sets and topics.
Core purpose
This article explains how to access and use the Field Usage function to identify which fields are assigned to field sets and topics.
Steps to view field usage
- In Mavim Manager, go to the Administration tab on the ribbon.
- In the Administrative Tools section, select Fields Usage.
- The Fields Usage screen will appear. Depending on the number of fields in your database, loading may take some time.
Understanding the Fields Usage screen
The screen is divided into three sections:
- All fields currently in the database
Displays a list of every field available. - Field sets assigned to the selected field
Shows which field sets include the field you selected in section 1. - Topics assigned to the selected field set
Lists all topics that have the selected field set applied.
Important notes
- This function is for review purposes only. No changes can be made from this screen.
- Large databases may take longer to load.
