How to use the Overview panel in Mavim

Mavim users who manage relationships to charts, reports, matrices, and D365 connections.

Explain what the Overview panel displays and how to use its context menu options for different relationship types.
What is the Overview panel?
The Overview panel shows relationships to:
- Charts
- Reports
- Matrices
- D365 connections
No other relationship types are displayed here.
Context menu options for charts
Right-click a chart relationship to:
- Show – Opens the chart in Visio.
- Delete – Removes the chart relationship.
- Properties – Displays chart properties.
If a chart has sub-charts, the Overview panel shows the hierarchy.
Context menu options for reports and matrices
Right-click a report or matrix relationship to:
- Go To – Opens the report or matrix in the Objects branch.
- Open in New Window – Opens the report or matrix in a new instance of Mavim Manager.
- Show – Displays the report or matrix in a separate window.
- Delete – Removes the relationship.
- Properties – Shows properties of the report or matrix.
Context menu options for D365 connections
Right-click a D365 connection to:
- Go To – Navigates to the D365 connection in the Objects branch.
- Open in New Window – Opens a new instance of Mavim Manager with the D365 connection selected.
- Show – Opens the connection URL in a browser.
- Delete – Removes the relationship.
- Properties – Displays connection properties.
Important notes
- The Overview panel only shows charts, reports, matrices, and D365 connections.
- Deleting a relationship does not delete the underlying object.
