Why doesn’t a direct link in the Portal open in full screen?

In the Portal, you can create direct links to elements for quick sharing or navigation. Depending on how the content is displayed when you generate the link, it may or may not open in full screen.

How to create a direct link that opens in full screen

  1. In the Portal, navigate to the element you want to link to.

  2. Click the star icon.

  3. Select Create external link.

The behavior depends on where the element description is shown:

  • Description in the right pane (tree on the left, description on the right):

    The generated link will open in a full-screen view.

  • Description in the left pane:
    The generated link will open in the same split-screen layout and not in full screen.
