Adding a video to the Mavim Portal using tabs

When adding external content to the Mavim Portal using tabs, the content provider must allow it to be displayed inside a third-party application (iframe). Some platforms allow this, others do not.

How to embed a YouTube video in a Portal tab

  1. Open the YouTube video.

  2. Click Share > Embed.


  3. Copy the link from the HTML code, specifically the part between src=" " in the iframe code.



    In this Example: https://www.youtube.com/embed/H0IZl1bWN4M

  4. In the Mavim Portal, go to Tabs.

  5. Click New

  6. Paste the copied URL as the tab link.

  7. Do not forget to set Sandbox to None.

  8. Click Update

Now, when you click the tab, the video should appear directly in the Portal.
