How is the date format determined when exporting feedback?

When you export feedback from the Portal to Excel, you may notice that the date appears in a different format. For example, in the Portal you see 12-4-2023 (Dutch format), but in Excel it shows as 12/4/2023 (US format).

Why does this happen?

The date format in the export depends on the language settings in the Portal.

  • If the Portal is set to Dutch, dates are exported in the Dutch format (dd-mm-yyyy).

  • If the Portal is set to English (US), dates are exported in the US format (mm/dd/yyyy).

How to adjust the settings

  1. In the Portal, go to Settings.

  2. Open the General tab.

  3. Select Dutch under Language setting.

  4. Save your changes.

If you change this setting to Dutch, dates will be exported to Excel in the Dutch format.

Important notes

  • Excel may sometimes automatically adjust date formats based on your system language or regional settings in Excel. If you still see differences, check those settings.

  • The Portal always follows the Portal language setting, not an individual user’s preference.
