Version Management - Distribution Centre

It is possible to maintain information in one database and use that information in another database. See Use Imported Data. The distribution of information between databases takes place through the use of transport databases (*.mtdx) that exist at a file location. See Export Version and Import Version. If you intend to periodically distribute update information to other databases, the Distribution Centre is a valuable tool.

A Distribution Centre is a file location where transport databases are exchanged. This permits the following:

· An overview of available transport databases and their status. See Activate Distribution Centre.

· An overview of transport databases that can be imported. See Import Transport Database (*.mtdx).

· Alerts when new relevant transport databases are available. See New Version Notice.
